Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Data Warehouse Analyst to support enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence solutions using Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, and other modern tools. This position involves gathering business requirements, developing and testing data integrations, performing metadata management, and supporting analytics environments across a statewide enterprise.
This is a hands-on role focused on both the technical implementation and user engagement aspects of data warehousing. The ideal candidate has deep experience in data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and performance tuning across cloud and on-prem environments.
What You'll Do:
Gather and assess business information needs and translate them into system requirements
Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter
Design, build, and support Snowflake cloud data warehouse environments
Perform data integration, cleansing, transformation, and loading
Support and administer Power BI and Tableau for reporting and analytics
Review and validate data accuracy within the warehouse
Build and test prototypes for Snowflake data population and replication
Develop data models to support transactional and analytical needs
Administer Secure Agent infrastructure and support Snowflake platform adoption
Create and maintain documentation including test scripts and technical workflows
Provide technical consulting and conflict resolution for user data access and usage
Support RedHat Linux application administration and IBM mainframe analysis (COBOL, JCL, DB2)
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 7 years of IT experience in data warehousing, data management, and business intelligence
Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC, and Snowflake Data Cloud
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT data integration tasks
Proven experience in relational database platforms: DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake
Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics tools
Familiarity with RedHat Linux environments and administrative scripting
Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, and quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog)
Working knowledge of IBM mainframe systems and COBOL/JCL is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience designing data models for Power BI and Cognos
Advanced development experience with Snowflake and Snowflake performance tuning
Experience with Change Data Capture using Informatica PowerExchange
Familiarity with ServiceNow connectors for data integration
Experience with IDMC platform and Secure Agent cloud administration
Strong skills in testing, validation, and performance optimization
Ability to maintain and enhance data warehouse metadata and lineage
