Data Warehouse Architect
Pay Range: $75/hour to $85/hour
About the Role
Weβre looking for an experienced and proactive Data Warehouse Architect to design, implement, and optimize our new data warehouse environment. This is a foundational role where youβll guide tool selection, establish data processes, and build a robust, scalable platform that empowers data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Youβll play a key role in transforming our current reporting capabilities into a modern, integrated data ecosystem β enabling our teams to access, trust, and act on data with confidence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
β’ Experience: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions. Prior consulting or project-based experience in a data environment is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency:
β’ Strong expertise with data warehousing platforms.
β’ Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools; experience with Airbyte is a significant plus.
β’ Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools, including Power BI (highly desired) and/or Tableau.
β’ Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and optimization.
β’ Familiarity with data modeling, data governance, and database management principles.
Soft Skills:
Β· Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical audiences.
Β· Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee implementation plans and timelines.
Β· A passion for teaching and mentoring, capable of building data literacy within an organization.
Β· Proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to conduct current state assessments and gap analyses.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
β’ Experience with other relevant tools like Retool or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
β’ Certifications in data warehousing, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty), or BI tools.
