Role description
Job Title – Director - Data Warehouse, Governance & AI Location- Los Angeles, CA (HYBRID) We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Leader to drive enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Governance, and AI initiatives. This role will lead the design, development, optimization, and governance of enterprise data platforms while partnering with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Business teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead enterprise Data Warehouse, ODS, Data Lake, and Data Governance programs. • Architect and optimize solutions using AWS Redshift and Informatica IDMC. • Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing. • Drive Data Governance initiatives including data lineage, cataloging, metadata management, and data quality. • Ensure platform performance, scalability, reliability, and security. • Lead AI and Generative AI initiatives focused on data management, automation, and governance. • Implement automated testing, CI/CD processes, and production support best practices. • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align data strategy with business goals. • Mentor and lead high-performing data engineering teams. Required Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or Analytics platforms. • 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise data teams. • Strong expertise in AWS Redshift, Informatica IDMC, Cloud ETL/ELT, SQL Optimization, Data Modeling, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Python. • Experience implementing enterprise Data Governance frameworks. • Knowledge of SOC 2, PCI DSS, data security, and compliance standards. • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD practices. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications • FinTech or Financial Services experience. • Knowledge of BSA/AML, UDAAP, FRB, and related regulatory frameworks. • AWS or Azure Data Engineering certifications.
