Title: Sr Database Administrator/Data Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote Pay Rate: $64/hr on W2 • Duration: 8 months to start with possible extension • Contract to Hire: Possible for the right fit • Interview Details: 2 interviews (one technical and one with the HM) • What is the most important skillset: The JD has the skillsets listed in order. Data Modeling, Cloud Database Tech, Cloud Platforms, etc. • Is there a preference for industries the candidates have worked in: Insurance but not required • Can you tell me what the person's day to day will be like: They will be part of an Agile team practicing Scrum; working part of a team, team has backlog of work, work 2-week sprints, demo work to pears, participate in stand-up meetings/daily scrums. Also work on unplanned tasks as they come in. Communication and collaboration are key. Technical: • Data Modeling: Proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques. • Cloud Database Technologies: Extensive experience with relational databases such as AWS RDS Oracle, RDS Postgres, as well as NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Document DB. • Cloud Platforms: Proficient with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform data services, including AWS S3, AWS DMS, Glue, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage. • Data Governance & Security: Well-versed in data privacy regulations, security best practices, and compliance standards like GDPR and HIPAA. • APIs & Integration: Experienced in designing and implementing data integration solutions using APIs and messaging systems. • Programming/Scripting: Skilled in SQL, Python, and similar programming languages. • Containerization & DevOps: Experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation. • Adept at troubleshooting data pipeline issues and optimizing data flows. • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and error handling. • ETL/ELT Processes: Knowledgeable in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes and tools • Capable of working with large-scale, complex data sets and distributed systems. • Experience working with Guidewire implementations Professional: • Demonstrated ability to immerse with Agile/Scrum Teams and participate in team ceremonies • Strong communication skills • • 9am – 5pm EST, remote work acceptable
