Under the direction of a data architect, this position will conduct data profiling, data analysis, data cleansing, database design, database implementation, data conversion, and data governance for the State's DMV data.

Description (including, but not limited to):
β’ Data analysis and database management
β’ Designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning
β’ Creation of requirements for database, database schema, data maps, ERDs, application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views, etc.)
β’ Creation of data rules to identify areas for data cleansing
β’ Conducting data profiling, data analysis, data cleansing, database design, database implementation, data conversion, and data governance for the State's DMV data
Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Understand data structures and schemas, and implementing appropriate indexes Required 3 Years Able to create logical and physical models of data to represent relationships and ensure data integrity Required 5 Years Working knowledge of DB2 and SQL Server database management systems (DBMS) Required 3 Years Understanding of the process of extracting data from various sources, transforming it, and loading it into a database Required 5 Years Use of at least one data cleansing tool Required 2 Years Able to create and execute test cases Required 5 Years Able to identify and resolve issues within the data cleansing process Highly desired 3 Years Able to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Highly desired 3 Years Must meet deadlines and manage multiple streams of work Required 5 Years Able to dissect complex problems and derive insights from large datasets Highly desired 3 Years Β
