Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the technology and financial services sector, is seeking a Database Administrator III to join their team. As a Database Administrator III, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical business operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to database management, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Database Administrator III Location: Chandler, AZ (Need local candidates) Pay Range:$65.13 What's the Job? Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases, often utilizing new technologies. Support multiple projects, including SQL Server migrations from SQL 2016 to SQL 2022, and manage core business functions. Provide troubleshooting, performance tuning, and proactive stability maintenance for high-profile applications. Support M365 applications and lead SharePoint Online migration efforts, including weekend work as needed. Manage on-call responsibilities and support BAU activities to ensure continuous system performance and reliability. What's Needed? 10+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration, with a strong background in database design and performance tuning. Expertise in SQL Server migrations, including SQL 2016 to SQL 2022, and experience with SQL tools such as Query Store. Familiarity with Linux environments, Redis, Dynatrace, TigerGraph, and Splunk. Prior experience as a Bank DBA or in a similar high-tier environment is preferred. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
