Contract Length: 12 months (Renewable)
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote+ 2 days onsite
Weekly paid hours: 37.5
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud data solutions. The role involves performance tuning, data integration, access/security management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet business analytics and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and optimize Snowflake data architecture, queries, and storage.
β’ Monitor and tune system performance, resource utilization, and costs.
β’ Manage user roles, permissions, and data security controls.
β’ Support and manage ETL/ELT processes, data loading, transformation, and extraction.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve Snowflake performance and query issues.
β’ Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
β’ Generate reports on system performance and usage.
β’ Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and IT staff for seamless integration.
β’ Stay updated with Snowflake best practices and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years in data architecture, engineering, or database development.
β’ 2+ years hands-on Snowflake experience (data modeling, tuning, security).
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and Python.
β’ Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and optimization.
β’ Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data integration, and modeling tools.
β’ Experience with AWS cloud environments.
β’ Familiarity with GitHub or other version control tools.
β’ Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
β’ Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced).
β’ Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
β’ Knowledge of T-SQL, DevOps, and scripting.
β’ Familiarity with identity/access management (Azure IDP a plus).
β’ Experience with other RDBMS, cloud data warehouses, or big data platforms.
