Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the industry sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled SQL Server Database Developer to join their dynamic team. As a SQL Server Database Developer, you will be an integral part of the Data Management Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: SQL Server Database Developer (No C2C)
Location: Columbia, Maryland
Pay Range: $58-63/hr depending on years of experience
What's the Job?
- Collaborate with software development teams to design, develop, and optimize data models and database schemas.
- Analyze requirements to determine optimal database architecture, data relationships, and reporting capabilities.
- Build and enhance data warehouses, improving business intelligence functionalities and real-time reporting.
- Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources to support business decision-making.
- Support, maintain, and document database systems, including writing unit tests and troubleshooting faults.
What's Needed?
- Proficiency in SQL language and SQL development.
- Extensive experience with high availability technologies such as replication and mirroring.
- Understanding of Always On availability groups in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with database installation, upgrade, configuration, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and experience with source control solutions.
