Role description
Job Summary (Database Developer W/ GIS Experience) • Support development and maintenance of a web-based Operational Support System (OSS) for telecommunications. • Serve as a key Agile/Scrum team member responsible for maintaining and enhancing Oracle databases (11g and 19c). • Migrate data and objects from Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c, ensuring continued functionality during the transition. • Develop sophisticated SQL data models, triggers, and multi-step procedural SQL transactions. • Create and visualize entity relationship diagrams and other data model representations. • Integrate data from MS SQL Server and utilize ESRI GIS tools (ArcGIS Server, SDE, ArcGIS Pro) for geospatial visualization and advanced mapping/analysis. • Coordinate across IT project management, engineering, QA, and risk management functions. • Plan, coordinate, and monitor database-related project activities. • Develop, implement, and enforce database design, development, and documentation standards and procedures. • Provide training and technical guidance regarding system products and procedures. • Perform application upgrades and maintenance tasks. • Monitor and report on real-time database operations, communications, and graphical/logic applications. • Troubleshoot and resolve database/system issues. • Ensure projects follow district standards and procedures throughout the lifecycle. • Hybrid work model: 4 days onsite in Washington, DC; 1 day remote per week. • Candidates must be located in DC, Maryland, or Virginia. • Must complete a pseudo-code assessment as part of the interview process.
