Role description
Position: Senior Database Programmer Analyst
Rate: $65-75/HR 6 month contract to hire
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Onsite 5 days a week)

Job Description:
The Database Programmer Analyst Senior position primary focus is on developing and supporting new and existing Database development amongst other responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Experience
β’ Five years of database design/development (MS SQL).
β’ Three years advanced ETL and SSIS design/development (MS SQL).
Our Preferred Candidate:
β’ Advanced experience with SSIS package design, heterogeneous data integration, MS SQL replication and always-on.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned. List in order of importance.)
β’ Acts as technical lead, training lower level analysts; assigns and evaluates work done by programming staff
β’ Leads the coordination of work with other staff of varying disciplines in the applications development process to include IT Security, project managers, business integration specialists, etc.
β’ Designs, programs, implements, and maintains application software systems; ensures that programs can be integrated into the applications systems
β’ Develops and implements modifications of applications, troubleshooting programming problems to isolate program issues and takes appropriate action to correct
β’ Deploys migrations to new versions of the systems including system testing, data conversion, application set-up, and system upgrades
β’ Writes and maintains operating procedures; creates disaster recovery documentation, training documentation, and instructional documentation
β’ Supports COTS application databases and integrations
β’ Serves as support for in-house developed application databases and integrations
β’ Reviews departmental needs and user requests for program changes, bug fixes, system enhancements and new programs
β’ Understand SQL queries, stored procedures and functions
β’ Evaluates workflow and methods, recommends and implements appropriate automated systems and procedures
β’ Build reports and dashboards with SSRS
β’ Serve as a backup to various Database Analyst functions as needed
β’ Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
