About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) with deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB to support large-scale, cloud-based database environments.
This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance, highly available database systems across AWS and GCP, while driving automation, scalability, and modernization initiatives through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale PostgreSQL database environments
• Support and optimize MongoDB architecture and operational performance
• Ensure high availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization
• Manage cloud-based database systems across AWS and GCP platforms
• Lead database migration, upgrade, and modernization initiatives
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Implement and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure scalable and resilient systems
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL (core focus)
• Experience with MongoDB architecture and production environments
• Solid experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in database replication, clustering, backup, and recovery strategies
• Strong skills in database performance tuning and optimization
• Proven experience leading database migration and upgrade projects
Preferred Skills
• Experience with multi-cloud database strategies
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalability patterns
• Exposure to automation, monitoring, and observability tools
• Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical environments
