Job Details: Job Title: Database Engineer Location: Foster City, CA - Hybrid Schedule Duration: 6+ Months Pay rate range: $80.00 - $87.00/hour on W2. Job Description: β€’ As a Database Engineer at Client, you will design, build, and operate scalable, secure data stores that power our applications and analytics. β€’ You’ll partner closely with application and data teams to shape schemas, tune performance, and automate operations using AWS and infrastructure-as-code. β€’ Your work will improve reliability, reduce cost, and accelerate delivery from development through production. Responsibilities: β€’ Design and develop efficient and scalable database solutions based on business requirements. β€’ Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools. β€’ Monitor database performance and optimize efficiency and reliability. β€’ Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data. β€’ Collaborate with application developers to optimize database scheme and queries. β€’ Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution. β€’ Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, configuration, and processes. β€’ Perform database capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements. β€’ Stay up to date with emerging database technologies and trends. β€’ Managing AWS database infrastructure and providing support. Qualifications: β€’ Strong understanding of AWS and IaC related to database resources. β€’ Proven experience (5+ Years) as a Database Engineer or Database Administrator. β€’ Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift). β€’ Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization. β€’ Familiarity with database design principles and data normalization. β€’ Experience in database performance tuning and monitoring. β€’ Understanding of backup and recovery procedures. β€’ Knowledge of database security best practice. β€’ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. β€’ Strong communication and collaboration abilities. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
