Role description
Job Title: Database Engineer – SQL Work Location: Fremont, CA (5 days onsite) Key Responsibilities: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ Proven experience as a SQL Database Engineer or Database Developer. β€’ Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent). β€’ Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. β€’ Experience with relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. β€’ Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis. β€’ Experience working with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS). β€’ Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL). β€’ Collaborate with application developers, BI teams, and business analysts to support data integration and reporting needs.
