Job#: 3034154 Job Description: Database Engineer Location: San Antonio, Texas Employment Type: Contract Role Overview We are seeking a Database Engineer to provide subject matter proficiency and analytical skills. This role is responsible for supporting process improvement, specialized studies, and the definition of requirements. The position involves analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, and creating functional architectures. Key Responsibilities • Provide analysis and planning for database-related tasks. • Develop requirements documents and build functional models. • Develop and follow procedures for database management and development. • Design and implement functional architectures. • Engage in database development and software engineering. • Perform database design and data modeling. • Conduct requirements analysis and generation. • Develop and maintain automated installation scripts. • Develop database solutions within a multi-tiered environment. Required Qualifications Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Experience: This position requires 10 years of experience in the functional area. A master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Candidates must have ten (10) years of combined experience in database development, software engineering, database design, data modeling, requirements analysis, and developing systems/software architectures for both relational and cloud-based databases. Technical Skills: • 5 years of experience with EnterpriseDB. • 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL. Compensation The pay rate for this position is between $75.00 and $95.00 per hour.
