Join a growing and highly energized technology team at a bay area Biopharmaceutical leader.
Option 1 Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Database Engineer with extensive SQL experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing and maintaining data solutions to enable efficient and accurate ETL operations.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Contribute to the development of new tools and technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Develop and maintain data warehousing and data management systems.
• Document and communicate data engineering processes, solutions, and best practices to team members and stakeholders.
• Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Continuously monitor and optimize data systems and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to define metrics, build dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Connect and integrate data from multiple data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, and cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science preferred
• Strong proficiency in SQL (query writing, joins, window functions, CTEs, optimization)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
• Query performance tuning and indexing strategies
• Data modeling (normalized and dimensional schemas)
• PowerBI dashboards and data visualization
• API/CRUD operations
