Summary We are seeking a Database Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support - Medical Supply Chain program in Philadelphia. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of databases critical to managing and distributing medical supplies across military and federal healthcare operations. Responsibilities Evaluates and recommends available DBMS products to support validated user requirements. Defines file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications. Develops, implements, and maintains database backup and recovery procedures for the processing environments and ensures that data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications. Minimum Qualifications: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority - CompTIA Security+ Five (5) years relevant experience Must have an active Secret DoD Clearance Experience in DBMS system analysis and programming. Experience using current DBMS technologies and application design using various database management systems Experience with DBMS internals Must be capable of providing highly technical expertise and support in the use of DBMS Must be able to evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements.
