Role description
Position: Databricks Data Engineer Compensation: $ 55 - 60 /hour, depending on experience Location: Kansas City, Missouri Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Databricks Data Engineer to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-moving team supporting a high-impact data platform. In this role, you’ll work hands-on in Databricks to help build and refine pipelines that normalize complexΒ data across multiple source systems. If you enjoy solving challenging data engineering problems, working closely with cross-functional teammates, and contributing to a platform that supports critical business operations, this could be a strong fit. Key Responsibilities & Duties: β€’ Build and enhance Databricks data pipelines. β€’ Develop PySpark and Python transformation logic. β€’ Support medallion architecture workflows and data layers. β€’ Work with Delta Tables and pipeline orchestration. β€’ Contribute to ingestion and data lake delivery. β€’ Partner with a blended product and engineering team. β€’ Design outputs with analytics and reporting use cases in mind. β€’ Communicate clearly in a client-facing environment. Required Qualifications & Experience: β€’ 5-7+ years of data engineering experience. β€’ Strong hands-on Databricks experience. β€’ Experience building end-to-end data pipelines. β€’ Proficiency with Python, PySpark, and Pandas. β€’ Experience with data normalization and transformation work. β€’ Understanding of medallion architecture concepts. β€’ Experience working with large, complex datasets. β€’ Clear communication skills in client-facing settings. Nice to Have Skills & Experience: β€’ Experience with Delta Tables. β€’ Experience using Databricks Workflows. β€’ AWS familiarity, including S3 and Athena. β€’ Experience supporting BI tools and downstream consumers.
