Databricks Data Engineer

Position: Databricks Data Engineer Compensation: $ 55 - 60 /hour, depending on experience Location: Kansas City, Missouri Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Databricks Data Engineer to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-moving team supporting a high-impact data platform. In this role, you’ll work hands-on in Databricks to help build and refine pipelines that normalize complex data across multiple source systems. If you enjoy solving challenging data engineering problems, working closely with cross-functional teammates, and contributing to a platform that supports critical business operations, this could be a strong fit. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Build and enhance Databricks data pipelines. • Develop PySpark and Python transformation logic. • Support medallion architecture workflows and data layers. • Work with Delta Tables and pipeline orchestration. • Contribute to ingestion and data lake delivery. • Partner with a blended product and engineering team. • Design outputs with analytics and reporting use cases in mind. • Communicate clearly in a client-facing environment. Required Qualifications & Experience: • 5-7+ years of data engineering experience. • Strong hands-on Databricks experience. • Experience building end-to-end data pipelines. • Proficiency with Python, PySpark, and Pandas. • Experience with data normalization and transformation work. • Understanding of medallion architecture concepts. • Experience working with large, complex datasets. • Clear communication skills in client-facing settings. Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Experience with Delta Tables. • Experience using Databricks Workflows. • AWS familiarity, including S3 and Athena. • Experience supporting BI tools and downstream consumers.
