We provide benefits. 12 months to start 100% Remote Pay: $60-68/hr Interview process: 1 Round The position is open in a data engineering team that is responsible for processing Claims, Revenue, Rx Medicare Specific files and data from external insurance payors and 25 other clients that lead into the Data Warehouse. We are building out a new Data Platform Team that will be centered around the health, stability and growth of the Azure Databricks Platform. Ideally Looking For: • A Senior Data Platform Engineer who will help bring health, stability, and growth to the Azure Data Bricks Platform. The expectation is that they will support multiple different platforms, such as SQL Server, Cloud, with strong experience in Azure Databricks. Looking for someone who has a good understanding of platform engineering, SRE (Performance maintenance), and understands how a Data Engineer functions from a holistic perspective. Additionally, they will be looking for someone who has strong CI/CD experience, IaC using Terraform, and also from a personality perspective, can learn and grow. • Need someone who can communicate well and present in 10 min – understand the problem clearly and articulate it. • Skill-Set is a mix of SRE/Performance/Data Engineer Top Skills Profile: • Individual contributor – Doers (5 – 10 years) • Azure Databricks • Platform engineering • SRE (Performance maintenance) • CI/CD pipelines • scripting - Terraform, Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL, Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience: data engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps role with a significant focus on cloud data platforms. • Azure Databricks Expertise: Strong practical experience in managing and operating an Azure Databricks environment. Proven ability to work with core features like Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Apache Spark. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, and Databricks Certified Platform Administrator. • Azure Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Active Directory (AAD), and cloud networking concepts. • Distributed Systems: A solid understanding of distributed computing principles and experience troubleshooting issues in a distributed environment. • Programming & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Terraform, Python, Apache Spark/PySpark, SQL, and Shell scripting. • Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and building automated CI/CD pipelines for platform and data application deployments. • Operational Mindset: Demonstrated experience in contributing to the operational stability and performance of a production platform. • Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
