Role description
We are seeking a dynamic Databricks Practice Lead to establish and grow our
Databricks consulting capability. This role will drive the strategic direction, technical
excellence, and business development of our Databricks practice, helping clients unlock
the full potential of their data through cloud analytics, machine learning, and data
engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Practice Leadership: Develop and lead the firmβs Databricks strategy, offerings,
β’ and go-to-market plans.
β’ Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data and AI
β’ solutions using Databricks on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
β’ Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying
β’ opportunities for Databricks-based modernization and innovation.
β’ Delivery Excellence: Oversee project delivery quality, mentor technical teams,
β’ and ensure best practices in data engineering and governance.
β’ Business Development: Partner with sales and leadership to drive Databricks-
β’ related revenue growth, proposals, and partnerships. This includes working with
β’ Databricks Account Executives to obtain new clients and projects.
β’ Team Development: Recruit, coach, and upskill consultants and engineers on
β’ Databricks technologies and related cloud ecosystems.
β’ Thought Leadership: Represent the firm at industry events, publish insights, and
β’ maintain a strong relationship with Databricks and cloud vendors.
β’ Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelors or Masterβs in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
β’ 8+ years in data engineering or analytics, with 3+ years of experience leading
β’ Databricks implementations in one or more of the following areas: 1) Data
β’ Advisory / Strategy, 2) Data & Analytics, 3) Gen AI, AI and ML and 4) Migration and Modernization.
β’ Deep understanding of Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Databricks Unity Catalog.
β’ Proven experience integrating Databricks with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
β’ Experience working in the consulting field with one of the following companies:
β’ Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, Lovelytics, etc.
β’ Strong technical leadership and client-facing consulting skills.
β’ Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Databricks Certified Data Engineer or similar certification.
β’ Experience building a data or analytics consulting practice.
β’ Familiarity with enterprise data governance, MLOps, and AI workloads.
