Role description
Data Engineer – Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric Hybrid- Manhattan, NY 12-month Contract Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join an enterprise-scale data program modernizing how business data is integrated, modelled, and consumed across finance, operations, and supply chain. You’ll be working with a modern data stack, Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric, building automated pipelines, integrating ERP data from Dynamics 365, and creating governed data models to support Power BI reporting. Responsibilities β€’ Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Fabric Data Factory. β€’ Integrate data from Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems into Snowflake and Fabric. β€’ Develop and optimize data models for analytics and Power BI semantic layers. β€’ Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and version control. β€’ Collaborate with analytics and BI teams to deliver trusted datasets for reporting. β€’ Support data governance and security practices (PII handling, access control). Skills β€’ Strong SQL and Python skills. β€’ Proven experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and Snowflake (warehousing, transformations). β€’ Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse. β€’ Understanding of data modelling (star/snowflake schemas) and Power BI integration. β€’ Experience with ERP data (Dynamics 365 preferred). β€’ Version control (Git, DevOps) and CI/CD for data pipelines.
