Role description
Data Centre Analyst Location: Wokingham (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite) Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 6 months Day Rate: £380–£400 (Inside IR35) About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Data Centre Analyst to join their team and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their data centre estate. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, managing capacity, and supporting incident and change management processes. Key Responsibilities • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the data centre estate to protect housed services. • Conduct regular IT asset audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance. • Maintain accuracy in Nlyte or equivalent DCIM tool to monitor capacity limits. • Manage changes and risks through the Change Control Process. • Raise change or incident tickets as required. • Provide incident management support within defined SLAs. • Represent the data centre estate in CABs, workshops, and multidisciplinary events. • Validate technical designs for safe housing and supportability. • Deliver data centre inductions and maintain access records to meet safety requirements. • Prepare for and complete all required audits. Your Profile Essential Skills & Experience: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Proven experience in data centre operations and infrastructure management. • Strong knowledge of DCIM tools (e.g., Nlyte) and capacity planning. • Familiarity with IT asset management and auditing processes. • Experience with incident and change management within ITIL frameworks. • Knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. • Understanding of geospatial technologies and legacy GIS systems. • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data quality and analytics. • Agile delivery experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
