Role description
We are seeking an highly skilled Data/Visualization Engineer to join our on-site team at WHQ. This role requires a strong mix of data engineering, analytics, and visualization expertise, with the ability to trace data pipelines back to the source of truth. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain data-driven visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights effectively. • Trace and validate data pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and source-of-truth alignment. • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, finance partners, and leadership stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. • Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation, validation, and analysis. • Integrate and manage data sources across Azure, AWS, and other enterprise systems. • Design and maintain Power BI reports and models for both technical and non-technical users. • Document data processes and workflows; train or guide team members where needed. Required Qualifications • 5–6 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or visualization development. • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data validation best practices. • Proficiency in: • Python (writing, debugging, and reading data-related code) • SQL (data extraction, joins, and optimization) • Power BI (dashboarding and reporting) • Azure and AWS (data storage, compute, and integration tools) • Proven ability to trace data lineage and identify discrepancies or data quality issues. • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills • Financial data or cost analysis background. • Automation experience, especially in reporting or data workflows. • Prior experience working in large enterprise or cross-functional engineering environments.
