Role description
Duties
• Develop and maintain various database applications on the IBM iseries platform, utilizing dynamic SQL, convert RPG code to sql stored procedures, performance tuning, logging and exception handling.
Qualifications
• Expert SQL stored procedures, development experience in db2 IBM iseries platform required
• Able to read RPGIV, RPGLE, RPGFree programs, embedded SQL
• Conversion/modernization experience from RPG to SQL stored procedures in db2
• IBM tools such as Aldon, RDI, ACS etc
• Application development experience interacting with front end using REST APIs, Json
• Exposure to python, microservices, VS code IDE development
• Git source control and integration

In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
