DBT Snowflake Developer

Job Title: DBT Snowflake Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Experience: 5+ Years Role Overview We are seeking a DBT Snowflake Developer with strong hands-on experience in dbt, Snowflake, SQL, and data modeling. The role focuses on building scalable transformation pipelines, developing dbt macros, and optimizing data models for analytics and reporting. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt on Snowflake • Build and maintain dbt models, macros (Jinja), materializations, snapshots, and tests • Write and optimize complex SQL for data transformation and analytics • Implement data modeling techniques (star/snowflake schemas) • Optimize Snowflake performance using warehouses, clustering, and query tuning • Manage version control and collaboration using Git • Ensure data quality, integrity, and documentation within dbt projects • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data models • Participate in code reviews and enforce dbt best practices Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with dbt in a production environment • Advanced SQL expertise • Solid experience with Snowflake • Data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts • dbt macros, testing, and documentation • Git version control • Data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema) Nice to Have • Performance tuning and optimization in Snowflake • Experience with automated testing and data governance • Strong communication and collaboration skills
