Job Title: Decision Support Specialist (Data Visualizer) Position Type: Contract Ceipal ID: SFL_QLIK920_SN Job Code: PR901646-R172920 End Client: Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Department: Office of Technology & Information Services (OTIS) Scope of Project Information Technology Staff Augmentation Services under the State Term Contract (STC) to support the Department’s Office of Environmental Accountability & Transparency. Responsibilities: • Develop visually appealing, intuitive, user friendly, and insightful Qlik Cloud dashboards and reports • Advise program areas on which visualizations and analyses would best help them achieve their goals • Collaborate with data engineers and others to gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality • Use statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis • Work collaboratively with program areas to identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure progress toward goals • Collaborate with data engineers and others to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes • Monitor data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting • Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, scientists, and others to understand data needs and address technical challenges • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and colleagues Required/Preferred Skills: • 5–10 years of experience in data visualization and analysis • Proficient in gathering and cleaning data from various sources • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques • Experience with Qlik Sense or Qlik Cloud • Experience with Alteryx • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar data tools • Experience working with environmental data (science, water quality, or related fields) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills V Group Inc. is a NJ-based IT Services and Products Company with its business strategically categorized in various Business Units including Public Sector, Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, Ecommerce, Projects, and Products.
