Position: Portfolio Analyst -- Demand & Capacity Management SME
Client: Banking
Location: Remote in the US - work EST
Length: 6-12 month Contract to FTE
Pay: $60 - $64/hour W2
Overview:
As part of the Enterprise Change Office, this role supports strategic portfolio governance and capacity planning across a dynamic and evolving enterprise landscape. With Clarity implementation underway and Planview still in use across some business units, this position plays a critical role in enabling scalable portfolio management capabilities, demand forecasting, and scenario planning. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can build structure from scratch, and collaborates effectively across multiple leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead capacity and demand planning efforts across enterprise portfolios, identifying gaps and opportunities to optimize resource utilization
• Develop high-level scenario planning models and sequencing strategies to support strategic decision-making
• Build and maintain Excel-based reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into portfolio health, resource allocation, and demand trends
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to define and implement processes for prioritization, planning, and governance
• Analyze data to uncover trends, risks, and performance insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Contribute to the development of portfolio management capabilities, including process design, tool configuration, and reporting standards
• Serve as a thought partner in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment—helping to “build the car while driving it”
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years of experience in portfolio management, capacity/demand planning and project management
• Hands-on experience with Clarity PPM or Planview, including demand forecasting, resource allocation, and reporting
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, scenario modeling, and data visualization
• Experience working in a formal PMO following PMBOK principles
• Experience working in large, regulated environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, etc.)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple leadership levels and present updates
• Comfortable operating in environments with limited structure and evolving processes
Preferred:
• Experience standing up new processes or tools in a portfolio management function
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Financial oversight and budgeting experience within a portfolio context
• Bachelors Degree
• Financial industry experience
