Job : Designer (AV/VC Automation & Support)
Location: Dallas, TX / Sunnyvale, CA / Austin, TX / Elk Grove, CA (Hybrid β Onsite 3x/week)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
The Designer will be responsible for automation, monitoring, testing, and Tier 3 support for Cisco AV/VC infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Webex environments, Ansible automation, and Splunk dashboards. They must be highly proficient with Cisco RoomOS devices, Python scripting, and collaborative troubleshooting with Cisco TAC.

Design, develop, and maintain Ansible automation workflows
Core daily responsibility
Develop and enhance Splunk dashboards for AV monitoring
Must be proficient in Splunk query language
Assist in RoomOS upgrade cycles and post-deployment validation
Includes after-hours support
Perform full RoomOS release testing, log bugs, and follow up with Cisco
Requires detailed validation and defect reporting
Collaborate with Cisco TAC to escalate, troubleshoot, and push enhancements
Strong communication and incident handling required
Pilot/beta test new Cisco AV products and features
Must give structured feedback and test across all endpoints
Provide field technical assistance to on-site teams
Must be flexible and responsive, includes on-call or live demo support
Conduct AV network troubleshooting and RCA
Understanding of network layers and protocols required
Provide support for Webex Meetings, Webex App, Webex Webinars
Requires in-depth functional knowledge of Webex services
Contribute to GitHub repositories and participate in code reviews
Familiar with Git/GitHub workflows; dev/test environment experience

β’ On-site support for live AV demos, issue debugging, and pre-GA testing
β’ Experience with Cisco telepresence peripherals
β’ Familiarity with AWX or other automation execution environments
