Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team. The position requires strong knowledge of model coding using Python to build financial forecasting models. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, onboard quickly, and play a key role in analyzing and converting complex queries to support large-scale data migrations and ensure seamless data integration.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with internal teams to support technology delivery activities for a Data Transformation Program.
• Analyze and convert complex SQL queries to align with new data sources.
• Update and build applications to source securitization data from data warehouses.
• Support and execute data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing, migration, and advanced analytics.
• Work with financial data, particularly Snowflake-based data.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in software development using Python.
• 5-10 years of IT experience in the design, development, integration, and testing of software solutions.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, including complex query analysis and optimization.
• 3 years of experience integrating with Snowflake APIs for data extraction and manipulation.
• 5-10 years of experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, and MySQL, with knowledge of SQL and NoSQL.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and join large datasets across multiple sources.
Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Python and popular frameworks like Django and FastAPI.
• Experience with Python libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, sci-kit-learn, Gunicorn, Celery, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with managing, building, and deploying code through tools including Jira, GIT, Bitbucket, Gradle, and Jenkins.
• Experience designing and executing unit tests using Python testing frameworks (Pytest, Unittest, pytest-mockito).
• Knowledge of architecture design patterns and principles.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to work independently to contribute to the success of assigned projects.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts, and project managers.
• Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration.
