Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Periodic face-to-face meetings) Contract Duration: 10 months (potential to extend) Start Date: June 9, 2025 Compensation: $60-$65/hour (W2 only, no C2C) What You’ll Do: • Develop and maintain a 24/7 production system using Java and SQL. • Support customer-facing APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) to ensure seamless integrations. • Collaborate with QA and development teams to translate complex requirements into robust software designs. • Resolve issues from security scans (DASS, SASS, Configuration Management) efficiently. • Adhere to coding best practices and engage in thorough code reviews. • Respond promptly to support tickets, ensuring SLA performance and accurate datafile updates. What You Bring: • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of software development experience. • Expertise in Java, J2EE, SQL, and Python. • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles. • Experience with REST, SOAP, or GraphQL APIs and Spring Boot/Microservices. • Excellent communication skills, with a self-directed and collaborative approach. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with Angular, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud development. • Proficiency with tools like Postman, Git, JIRA, Confluence, or Eclipse.
