Role description
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint / Power Platform Developer with 5–10 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting business applications and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and SQL Server, preferably within a banking, financial services, or similar enterprise environment. This role will support business areas across Global Markets, Finance, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, KYC, HR, and IT. The developer will work with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for automation, gather requirements, develop solutions, and provide ongoing production support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Develop and support modern SharePoint Online solutions and intranet applications.
• Build solutions leveraging SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, APIs, and other system connectors.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server components, including stored procedures, tables, relational models, joins, MERGE statements, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement.
• Develop applications supporting business functions across Front Office, Operations, Finance, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Audit.
• Support existing applications, including the organization's Risk Decision Tool.
• Provide production support across both new development ("build the bank") and ongoing maintenance ("maintain the bank") activities.
• Partner with business users to gather requirements, contribute to Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Research and investigate technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Support change management activities throughout the development and implementation lifecycle.
• Work within Agile and DevOps environments, utilizing tools such as ServiceNow/SUN, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Manage multiple development and support requests simultaneously while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Required Qualifications:
• 5–10 years of relevant application development, automation, or technology experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Strong experience with SharePoint Online.
• Strong hands-on SQL Server experience, including stored procedures and database development.
• Experience building applications that integrate with SQL Server, APIs, Dataverse, SharePoint, and other connectors.
• Experience developing and supporting applications in a production environment.
• Understanding of business process automation and workflow development.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle and application deployment/support.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within global teams.
