DevOps Cloud Engineer

Job Summary Location: Durham, NC only, targeting local candidates Required Skills • Passionate about working in a DevOps environment • Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins location: Durham, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $77 - 78 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities • Strong understanding and practical experience with implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferably using Terraform or an equivalent tool. • Experienced with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Demonstrated hands-on experience with two or more languages - Python, Java, Groovy etc. Qualifications • Strong Unix/Linux knowledge with working experience in installing, configuring applications and resolving issues in a public cloud environment like AWS and/or Azure • Experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining application software and system management tools. Skills • Hands-on experience configuring container and serverless applications • Strong desire to learn and experiment with new technologies based on cloud trends • Strong communication and influencing skills. • Experience working in globally distributed teams.
