Role description
The DevOps Engineer focuses on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, your mission is to ensure these essential software tools run smoothly, integrate well with other systems, and meet performance expectations. Youβll become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the applications you supportβunderstanding their architecture, functionality, and how they interact with enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
β’ Diagnose and resolve issues in COTS applications by analyzing code, logs, and database structures.
β’ Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions.
β’ Understand and document application architecture and functionality.
β’ Support integration efforts, especially via APIs (REST, SOAP).
β’ Continuously learn new technologies and adapt to evolving priorities (CI/CD).
Software Development Skills
β’ Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
β’ Ability to analyze existing codebases, logs, and schemas
β’ Experience with API integration for connecting COTS systems
Skills Required:
Scripting, Microsoft Sql Servers, Microsoft Windows.
Skills Preferred:
GCP, Big Query, JSON.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
