Our client is currently looking to recruit an Interim DevOps Engineer on an initial 4 month basis.
DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure as Code & Kubernetes
London - Hybrid
£425 - £510 per day inside IR35
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in deploying and maintaining research-supporting applications and services on private cloud infrastructure. You’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines that ensure scalable, secure, and reproducible deployments using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.
Working closely with end-users, you'll gather requirements to ensure deployments align with research needs while optimising resource usage and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.
• Implement IaC solutions using tools like Terraform for cloud-native and virtualised environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications using Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with researchers and support staff to understand requirements and provide efficient technical solutions.
• Contribute to system documentation and operational best practices.
Essential Criteria
• Experience deploying and managing applications with Kubernetes
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Knowledge of public or private cloud infrastructure (e.g., OpenStack, AWS, Azure)
• Experience working in or supporting a Higher Education, research environment or Public sector
