Role description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to backfill a key onshore resource for a fixed-fee project with Chevron. This role requires strong expertise in Ansible, Azure cloud solutions, and infrastructure automation, with hands-on skills to design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance platforms. You will be responsible for enabling CI/CD, provisioning infrastructure, managing observability, and supporting MLOps pipelines for AI/vision models. Visa Type: Only H1B, Permanent Residents (PR), and Green Card holders (GC) accepted Key Responsibilities β€’ Design and implement platform solutions leveraging Azure cloud services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). β€’ Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enhance automation, deployment, and operational efficiency. β€’ Collaborate with development teams to ensure application scalability, performance, and reliability. β€’ Manage provisioning of infrastructure using Ansible playbooks, Terraform, and ARM templates. β€’ Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using observability metrics and tools. β€’ Contribute to architecture discussions and guide technical decisions aligned with business goals. β€’ Support production environments, ensuring high availability, proactive maintenance, and incident response. β€’ Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for automated deployment of AI/vision models to edge environments. β€’ Collaborate with client stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Technical Profile β€’ Strong hands-on expertise with Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automation. β€’ Extensive experience with Azure cloud solutions: IaaS, PaaS services, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, APIs. β€’ Proficiency with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA). β€’ Solid understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and infrastructure design. β€’ Knowledge of Terraform and ARM templates for infrastructure automation. β€’ Experience in MLOps for deploying ML/AI models to production and edge systems. Functional Profile β€’ Strong collaboration skills with software development teams and client stakeholders. β€’ Capable of influencing architecture and design decisions to align with business objectives. β€’ Experience ensuring system performance, monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting. β€’ Ability to work onsite with a high degree of independence and accountability.
