DevOps Engineer (contract)

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to backfill a key onshore resource for a fixed-fee project with Chevron. This role requires strong expertise in Ansible, Azure cloud solutions, and infrastructure automation, with hands-on skills to design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance platforms. You will be responsible for enabling CI/CD, provisioning infrastructure, managing observability, and supporting MLOps pipelines for AI/vision models. Visa Type: Only H1B, Permanent Residents (PR), and Green Card holders (GC) accepted Key Responsibilities • Design and implement platform solutions leveraging Azure cloud services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enhance automation, deployment, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure application scalability, performance, and reliability. • Manage provisioning of infrastructure using Ansible playbooks, Terraform, and ARM templates. • Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using observability metrics and tools. • Contribute to architecture discussions and guide technical decisions aligned with business goals. • Support production environments, ensuring high availability, proactive maintenance, and incident response. • Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for automated deployment of AI/vision models to edge environments. • Collaborate with client stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Technical Profile • Strong hands-on expertise with Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automation. • Extensive experience with Azure cloud solutions: IaaS, PaaS services, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, APIs. • Proficiency with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA). • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and infrastructure design. • Knowledge of Terraform and ARM templates for infrastructure automation. • Experience in MLOps for deploying ML/AI models to production and edge systems. Functional Profile • Strong collaboration skills with software development teams and client stakeholders. • Capable of influencing architecture and design decisions to align with business objectives. • Experience ensuring system performance, monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting. • Ability to work onsite with a high degree of independence and accountability.
