Sr. DevOps Engineer (Python)
12+ Month Contract
Remote
In this role, you will be a member of the Enterprise DevOps Shared Services group on the Source Code Management (SCM) team. This team internally builds DevOps products that are used across our IT delivery organization as well as leverage several licensed products. You will serve as a key technical contributor responsible for maintaining and enhancing GitHub platforms and the DevOps data reporting ecosystem. Youβll bring a DevOps-first mindset, strong scripting capabilities and infrastructure engineering expertise to help drive the success of Git migration, DevOps tooling and automation activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
β’ 5+ years in infrastructure engineering or DevOps within a large-scale enterprise environment.
β’ 2-5+ years of hands-on experience scripting in Python.
β’ Proficiency in Git and familiarity with GitHub ecosystem.
β’ Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
β’ Experience working on an Enterprise/Shared Services DevOps Team.
β’ Experience supporting CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management & maintenance.
β’ Experience building and publishing Docker images.
β’ Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Tableau for data visualization platforms.
β’ Proficiency in DevOps toolchain.
RESPONSIBILITES:
β’ Serve as a subject matter expert on source code management platforms, primarily GitHub (cloud and on-prem), supporting platform health, enhancements, and enterprise migrations.
β’ Own, support, and extend the DevOps database that aggregates and stores key operational data across CI/CD systems such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Ansible.
β’ Develop and maintain ETL jobs and Python scripts to extract, transform, and load system data into Postgres databases and power Tableau dashboards used by leadership and engineering teams.
β’ Design and build automation tools to support large-scale migration efforts between GitHub instances.
β’ Build, maintain, and publish Docker images that support DevOps tooling and scripts.
β’ Manage and enhance Ansible playbooks used for infrastructure provisioning and system configuration.
β’ Collaborate across scrum teams within the DevOps shared services org to align tooling, standards, and governance across the enterprise.
β’ Help drive AI adoption and developer enablement by incorporating tools such as GitHub Copilot into engineering workflows.
