DevOps Engineer (Azure-Focused) Job Description & Summary Our client, a Big 4 consulting firm, is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Azure Focused) to join their DevOps/DevSecOps team. This role is part of a dynamic infrastructure group focused on designing and implementing secure, scalable IT systems that support business operations and enable high performance with minimal downtime. This DevSecOps position integrates development, operations, and security best practices to ensure consistent, secure, and efficient delivery of software and applications. You’ll act as a bridge between teams, driving seamless collaboration and secure development workflows. You’ll also be expected to bring a thoughtful, metrics-aware approach to your work—able to speak to the impact of your contributions and how you measure success. Candidates should be prepared to discuss any metrics or achievements listed on their resume with clarity and confidence. Key Details • This is a W2 Contract. We can NOT do C2C arrangements or 1099. • Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the US without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. At this time we can only accept the following work authorizations: US Citizens, GC Holders, GC EAD. • Hybrid schedule is Required. This consists of 3 days/week onsite at our clients Tampa, FL OR Dallas, TX location. Either location is acceptable. 3 days a week onsite is required. What You’ll Do • Lead and contribute to Azure-based DevOps initiatives, ensuring alignment with security and operational standards. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with advanced deployment stages. • Develop infrastructure-as-code using Bicep or Terraform, applying best practices across team environments. • Implement monitoring and observability tooling to support reliability and performance. • Collaborate across teams to solve complex problems, using AI tools where appropriate to enhance workflows and learning. • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment. • Maintain high standards of quality and integrity in all deliverables. What You Must Have • Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum 3 years of hands-on DevOps experience • Recent, demonstrable experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments What Sets You Apart • Ability to clearly explain and validate metrics or performance improvements • Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline development • Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python • Experience with Kubernetes (preferred) • Proficiency in Linux operating systems • Familiarity with YAML and configuration management • Understanding of site reliability engineering principles • Experience with Terraform or Bicep—understanding of patterns and team-wide application is key • Thoughtful use of AI tools in your workflow, with a focus on enablement and problem-solving #DICE
