Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Irving, TX. Summary: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining technical software applications and provides a combination of technical and business leadership while being the primary trusted and capable owner of one or more high priority, high visibility, complex initiatives. The DevOps Engineer will typically lead and coach a small number of team members (e.g., an architect, systems analyst, etc.) and provide guidance to a larger community.
Requirements
β’ Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
β’ Experience with Cloud is required
β’ Programing experience in Java and Spring Boot
β’ Must be familiar with observability and APM tools like Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, etc.
β’ Good understanding of Architecture patterns and resiliency
β’ String scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python
β’ Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
β’ Strong microservices application support experience
β’ Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices
Preferred
β’ Experience working applications using Kubernetes platform is preferred
β’ Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
