Role description
Weβre seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our IT infrastructure and engineering team. This role will focus on building, automating, and maintaining on-premises and hybrid environments, while supporting CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and infrastructure optimization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing traditional server environments as well as modern automation and containerization tools.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-prem and hybrid applications.
β’ Manage and support on-premises infrastructure including physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
β’ Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
β’ Maintain and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability across dev/test/prod environments.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to streamline code deployment, version control, and release management.
β’ Monitor system health, implement proactive alerts, and ensure uptime through observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
β’ Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (on-prem or hybrid).
β’ Support security hardening, patching, and compliance initiatives.
β’ Assist with cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP) as the organization evolves to hybrid models.
β’ Troubleshoot system and application issues and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications Required:
β’ 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related infrastructure automation role.
β’ Hands-on experience managing on-premises environments (VMware, bare-metal, Windows/Linux servers).
β’ Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
β’ Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
β’ Familiarity with networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and security best practices.
β’ Solid experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
Preferred:
β’ Experience with hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
β’ Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
β’ Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, or other container platforms.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
β’ Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, RHCE, DevOps Professional, etc.) are a plus.
