Role description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our client’s technology team on a 6-month contract. You will play a key role in supporting, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth software delivery across multiple environments. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment. β€’ Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability. β€’ Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. β€’ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability. β€’ Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline release processes and resolve issues. β€’ Ensure compliance with security and governance standards. Key Skills & Experience: β€’ Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-based environment. β€’ Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.). β€’ Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). β€’ Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation). β€’ Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell. β€’ Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.). β€’ Good understanding of networking, security, and version control (Git). Additional Information: β€’ Duration: 6 months (potential for extension) β€’ IR35 Status: Inside IR35 β€’ Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience β€’ Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site in Greater London
