Role description
Job Title: 2x AWS DevOps Engineers
Location: Leeds 1x/week
Day Rate: £500/day Inside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 7 Months
Overview:
We’re looking for a couple skilled AWS DevOps Engineers with a strong background in cloud-native infrastructure and a proven track record delivering within NHS or wider public sector environments. This role will play a critical part in managing scalable, secure platforms with a focus on automation, observability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart configuration and management.
• Build, automate, and maintain infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
• Set up and manage observability and monitoring tools, particularly Grafana and Prometheus.
• Administer and support Linux-based systems, writing automation and scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python) as needed.
• Drive DevOps culture and best practices across development and operations teams.
• Work closely with NHS stakeholders and technical teams to ensure secure and compliant infrastructure delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience working within the NHS or a healthcare-focused public sector organisation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services and Terraform for IaC.
• Proven experience with observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Solid Linux administration and DevOps scripting skills.
• Enthusiasm for operations, automation, and infrastructure management.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Exposure to cloud security and compliance best practices.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
