DevOps Engineer

Role :- DevOps Engineer Location :- Austin, TX Rate $45/hr. on 1099 Due to project requirements and business needs, Client is only considering candidates who are currently based in Austin, TX Top Must Have Skills Local Texas Candidate preferred • 10 + years of DevOps Experience - Technical Stack - Ansible, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Python • Experienced with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS. • Ability to write Dockerfiles and Kubernetes yaml definitions from scratch. • Ansible - Write automation playbooks for Ansible. • Jenkins, Jenkins plugins, and pipeline as code (Groovy). • Linux compute, networking, storage, and DB's (SQL and NoSQL). • Experience in highly-available IT operations: fault-tolerance, zero-downtime deploy, scalability • Experience with networking, VPNs, compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers), and architecting/developing/maintaining production-grade systems in • GitHub, Maven, Gradle. • Scripting skills in Python, Golang and Bash. • Comfortable working with large-scale multi-cloud deployments. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with Dev, QA, and SRE teams. • Experience with the HashiCorp stack - Nomad, Consul, Vault is a plus. • Version Control with Git. • Experience with CI/CD in JenkinsComfort with collaboration across functional borders • Experience delivering continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline • Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Ansible • Security Best Practices / Secure architecture and design • Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform. • CD tools like Spinnakar, Concourse etc., is nice to have. • BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 5+ years or MS degree with 3+ years experience, or equivalent. Responsibilities • Gather requirements, build infrastructure and tooling • Provide technical guidance, solving expertise, and architectural insight to development, quality, and site reliability teams. • Solve complex problems using both open-source and in-house tooling to support security and business initiatives. • Build applications and tools to reduce barriers, decrease friction and speed up delivery of products. • Scale existing technologies (or promote new technologies) to out-pace current growth projections. • Evangelize next generation cloud and DevOps products and processes, experiment with their implementation and bring them to fruition.
