DevOps Engineer (Octopus) _ Alpharetta, GA (Only on W2)

Devops Engineer (Octopus) Location: Alpharetta, GA; will consider remote candidates Duration: 12+ Months, potential to be extended (No C2H at this time) Direct Client / Only W2 Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our Firco Insight team, responsible for managing and evolving a complex CI/CD pipeline that spans Octopus Deploy, GitHub, and AWS infrastructure. This role will focus on customizing, stabilizing, and automating deployment workflows across 50+ environments and 400+ servers. Key Responsibilities: • Customize and stabilize CI/CD pipelines using Octopus Deploy and GitHub Actions with a focus on security. • Create and update deployment scripts using PowerShell. • Assist in troubleshooting existing configurations relating to Terraform and Ansible. • Collaborate with development and SRE teams to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual intervention. • Manage secrets using AWS KMS. (Key Management Service). • Write and maintain reusable scripts and templates for deployment automation. Required Experience: • 5+ years in DevOps roles • Hands-on experience with Octopus Deploy or similar deployment orchestration tools • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell • Solid understanding of GitHub workflows and GitHub Actions • Experience with AWS services and architecture • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues across Windows/Linux environments Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, and Docker. • Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Filebeat, CloudWatch). • Exposure to F# or other functional programming languages. • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • SRE experience would be a nice to have.
