DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Technical DevOps Engineer – Artifact Management Duration: Until December 31, 2025 (with potential renewal) Workload: Full time hours Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader) Location: London, Hybrid – Weekly office attendance required (3 days onsite incl. Monday & Friday) A leading client is urgently seeking a DevOps Engineer to support artifact management and infrastructure migration from on-prem to Azure cloud. Key Responsibilities: • Implement and enhance infrastructure systems and development tooling • Improve security posture across CI/CD tools and hosting environments • Monitor performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues • Support migrations from on-prem to Azure cloud • Administer and maintain CI/CD tools including GitLab, Nexus, and AKS • Collaborate with global teams to design and scale infrastructure solutions • Automate builds and deployments using Maven, Gradle, and Helm • Provision and optimize cloud-native resources using Terraform and ARM templates Must-Have Skills: • Strong experience with RedHat Linux, Solaris x86, and scripting (Bash/Python) • Hands-on with GitLab, Nexus Repository Manager, Nexus Lifecycle (IQ) • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and tooling • Kubernetes and Helm expertise • Infrastructure management across on-prem and Azure environments • Experience with Terraform and PowerShell scripting • Familiarity with Azure services (ACR, Azure Monitor, diagnostics) Nice-to-Have: • Experience with Databricks • Background in large-scale infrastructure upgrades and DevOps automation • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM templates
