Role description
Contract: DevOps Engineer: Up to £400PD Outside IR35: 6 months (Rolling): Mostly remote
A consulting partner is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile financial services client, based out of Berlin, but operating remotely in the UK, on Berlin timezone.
The successful DevOps Engineer will have a background as a Support Engineer, and will be tasked with supporting critical systems and providing technical support as well as troubleshooting, incident management and system monitoring and maintenance.
You'll take ownership of complex technical issues across Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS), leading incident response and ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and performant.
In addition, you will be required to liaise with key stakeholders and customers, forming key relationships with both.
Key skills:
• 5+ years' experience in technical support or system administration
• Financial Services/Trading experience
• Strong knowledge of Linux & Windows environments, as well as AWS & Azure
• Automation & Scripting: Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Familiar with monitoring tools (eg New Relic, Kibana)
• Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills
• (Bonus) Exposure to CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible
