Role description
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 At Mastarity, we support learners making the transition to DevOps and also help organisations with cloud infrastructure design, migration, and management. We run a Skool-based community (learning & peer support) for people on this journey and we want someone who can help keep the space welcoming, structured, and technically solid. If you enjoy mentoring, community building, and occasionally diving into DevOps conversations, this is for you. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼 • Build, maintain, and deploy cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) to define environments • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) • Automate routine tasks • Containerize applications using Docker, manage orchestration • Monitor systems, set up alerts and dashboards, troubleshoot issues in production • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment • Maintain configuration, documentation, and runbooks • Participate in on-call rotations / incident response (as needed) • Contribute to improving infrastructure, reliability, and deployment practices 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 / 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 • Some hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles (1–3 years) • Comfortable working in Linux / Unix environments • Experience scripting (Python, Bash, Go, or similar) • Working knowledge of one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) • Experience creating or maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Containerization experience (Docker), and basic orchestration experience (Kubernetes or similar) • Solid version control skills (Git workflows, branching, pull requests) • Basic networking knowledge (VPCs, routing, security groups, load balancers) • Good communication, collaboration, and a proactive mindset 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 • Competitive salary • Flexible working arrangements (remote) • Exposure to multiple clients and cloud projects • Opportunity for learning, certifications, training support • Collaborative team environment • Ownership and influence in infrastructure design and operations
