MI Analyst (12-Month FTC)
Up to £50,000 + Benefits
Fully Remote
My client is looking for an experienced MI Analyst to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This role will be central in providing management information, insight, and resource planning analysis to ensure operational demand is clearly understood, risks are identified, and resources are allocated effectively to deliver excellent outcomes. There is a strong likelihood that this role will become permanent, as the team is planning to expand within the next 12 months.
What you’ll do
• Partner with operational teams to understand and deliver key MI requirements, ensuring reporting is clear, accurate, and timely.
• Pull, analyse, and reconcile data from SQL Server to support reporting and insight.
• Use Power BI (preferred) and Excel to create dashboards, reports, and analysis for stakeholders across the business.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of demand and resource requirements across back-office functions.
• Proactively monitor current and future demand, producing insight on where pressures and risks exist across operational areas.
• Contribute to the forecasting and resource planning process, ensuring capacity is optimised and risks are mitigated.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better workforce/resource planning and data-led insights.
• Support change and continuous improvement initiatives by providing evidence-based recommendations.
What we’re looking for
• Demonstrable experience as an MI Analyst, with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and automation.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and the ability to extract and manipulate data.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis techniques) – essential.
• Proven ability to analyse large data sets, spot trends, highlight risks, and translate findings into clear insights.
• Any experience in Resource Planning or Workforce Management would be a significant advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple reporting requirements simultaneously.
