About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing infrastructure and cloud engineering team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), AWS Cloud Services, and CICD tools (Git/Argo), with a strong understanding of Kubernetes and SecDevOps practices.
This position is fully onsite and offers a chance to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions supporting connected vehicle technology and telematics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS environments.
β’ Develop and manage CICD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD and Argo CD.
β’ Deploy, automate, and manage AWS-based production systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and deployment issues in cloud and containerized environments.
β’ Collaborate with cybersecurity and development teams to ensure compliance with technical and security standards.
β’ Implement and support microservices deployment on Kubernetes (EKS).
β’ Write scripts in Python, Bash/Shell, or Go to automate tasks and optimize processes.
β’ Support the team in adopting new tools, frameworks, and cloud practices aligned with organizational goals.
β’ Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, code reviews, and peer mentoring.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills):
β’ 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services β IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, etc.
β’ Proven expertise in Terraform (IaC).
β’ Solid knowledge of CICD pipelines β GitLab CI, Argo CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
β’ Strong experience in Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting.
β’ Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell.
β’ Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Skills):
β’ AWS Services: ECS, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Batch, Cognito, Route 53, Config, etc.
β’ CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Helm, Docker, Artifactory.
β’ Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
β’ Networking: VPC Peering, NAT, Transit Gateway, Istio, Nginx, Consul, Traefik.
β’ Monitoring & Logging: DataDog, Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, AppDynamics.
