DevOps Engineer

Cloud & DevOps AWS Engineer Outside IR35 (UK ONLY), fully remote – Senior & Principal Consultant A leading UK-based cloud consultancy is seeking experienced Cloud & DevOps AWS Engineers to join their remote-first team (UK only). Renowned for engineering excellence and strategic insight, this consultancy specialises in solving complex enterprise challenges across cloud platforms, data, AI, and automation. As part of a high-performing delivery team, the successful candidates will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure delivery across AWS environments. These roles are critical to enabling scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures, supporting both greenfield development and legacy transformation initiatives. The Principal Consultant will additionally provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance across multiple workstreams. Key Responsibilities • Deliver infrastructure automation using Terraform/OpenTofu across AWS environments. • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for scalable deployments. • Develop automation scripts and manage system configuration across platforms. • Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability. • Support container orchestration (EKS/ECS) and serverless application delivery. • (Principal level) Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance across projects. Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform/OpenTofu, and IaC principles. • Proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows. • Proficient in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation and tooling. • Skilled in monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana. • Experience with EKS, ECS, and AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway). • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; leadership experience for Principal level.
