DevOps Engineer - Remote - Outside IR35

Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer – Remote - Outside IR35 We’re partnering with a fast-scaling, venture-backed technology company building a highly distributed, cloud-native platform used by enterprise customers globally. This is an opportunity to join early and take real ownership of complex infrastructure, working closely with product and engineering teams to design systems that are secure, resilient, and built to scale from day one. The Role You’ll own and evolve a large-scale, multi-environment cloud platform, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, automation, and infrastructure reliability. Key responsibilities include: • Designing and operating distributed Kubernetes platforms across multiple cloud accounts • Building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using Terraform • Writing production-grade automation and tooling (Python preferred) • Implementing GitOps-based deployment workflows • Scaling and optimising Kubernetes clusters in AWS • Building robust monitoring, observability, and incident response systems • Improving engineering velocity through self-service infrastructure • Partnering closely with application and data engineers on platform design What We’re Looking For • Strong hands-on experience with AWS in complex, multi-account environments • Deep Kubernetes expertise, including operating clusters at scale • Solid infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or equivalent) • Strong coding ability, ideally in Python • Experience building automation, CI/CD, and operational tooling • A pragmatic, collaborative engineer who enjoys solving hard platform problems
