Role: DEVOps Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA hybrid Duration: Long term What you'll do: • Create and maintain Python applications for analytics and ML use cases. • Assist in developing deployment strategies and CICD pipelines for projects. • Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for projects. • Advocate and implement development best practices. • Write technical documentation to capture architecture, processes, policies, procedures, installation, and instructions. What experience you need: • 3+ years of experience in Python programming – applications development. • 3+ years of experience using Docker on service development. • 2+ years of experience with Bash commands. • 2+ years of experience using Docker. • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD integration using tools including Jenkins or GitHub. • 2+ years of experience debugging and troubleshooting. • 2+ years of experience developing a version control tool as GitHub. • 2+ years of experience with Cloud service providers (GCP/AWS/Azure). • 2+ years of experience on monitoring and GCP services, including service configuration and alerts. • 1+ years of experience maintaining applications running on production environments. • Teamwork experience using agile methodology or experience developing in a team. What could set you apart: • Experience with Google Cloud DataProc, Composer, DataFlow and PubSub; or equivalent services on other cloud providers. • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform). • Experience using a testing framework for Python (e.g. pytest). • Experience using API development frameworks for Python (e.g. FastApi). • Experience on distributed systems like Spark, including debugging. • Experience working with or developing complex data applications. • Experience with frequent and incremental development, testing, and deployment. • Experience effectively managing project deadlines. • Experience with Jupyter notebook interaction. • Knowledge of the different types of software testing (unit, integration, performance). • Knowledge of Kubernetes related concepts. • Knowledge of Container related concepts for development (devcontainer) and testing (testcontainer) use cases. • Knowledge of analytics and ML related concepts (e.g. MLOps). • Ability to write very high quality code that is robust and maintainable. • Ability to enhance, refactor, and continuously improve the codebase. • Ability to prototype technologies to benchmark, analyze, present and discuss alternatives. • You are interested in learning other coding languages as needed. • You are highly motivated and have a real passion for learning and actively researching new ways of working and new technologies. • You are problem solving and critical thinking oriented. • You have good communication skills, written and oral.
